Arthur Curry is a college student from Florida whose father runs a lighthouse down the coast, a phenomenal swimmer, a flirt, and a decent guy. He's playful, arrogant, and prefers the colors orange and green. Very much an upstanding citizen, except for the one blemish on his record -- though one might think that setting a bunch of dolphins free from captivity would garner him a cult-hero following. He also says as little as he can get away with about his past, without blatantly lying. There's a reason for that.
Orin, in contrast, is very arrogant, single-minded in his cause to save the oceans of the world from those who dwell on land, nicer than he'd like you to believe, and a brat. He's also an Atlantean king, son of the now-deceased Queen of Atlantis and an unknown father -- speculation has ranged from Arthur Curry, an insane sorcerer of his mother's race, and Poseidon himself. Whoever his father is, if Orin even knows, he considers the man who raised him to be his real dad. He also won't really talk about his mother much, mostly because she died when he was very little and those memories are incredibly precious to him.
AC is a blend of his human upbringing and Atlantean heritage, usually laid back and casual, though his anger is only a breath away if he feels something is hurting the oceans he thinks of as his, and the creatures who dwell within the water. That unique heritage gives him special abilities, which he bends to the protection of the seven seas, which often brings him into conflict with the human society that raised him.
