I generally refrain from talking about work here mostly because I feel that it isn't entertaining reading. That, and it reduces the chances of hurt feelings or leaked corporate secrets to a minimum (like they tell me anything anyway).
But this, I had to share:
We work with a lady by the name of Blythe in our regulatory department. I was talking with a colleague of mine about incoterms and he was expressing his continued frustration in what he thinks is a misapplication of a particular incoterm. I asked back if he thought that we were blithely following orders. (I will confess that I have been sitting on that one for quite a while)
Right after that, I pointed to a folded up moving box that he had under his cubicle. He said that he used it to shield his office from the morning sunlight since that particular facing is a half wall. I nodded my head and then asked him if he would classify that as shadow boxing.
