sgabigbang has been posting preview things for the fics this week. I beta'd 
general_jinjur's fic and it's [ preview went up] today. Wheeee! You all can read it soon! It is tasty and a good fic. Well, probably not tasty, not unless you print it on delicious paper and then eat it. Nom? She asked for comments from the betas for her preview, and my comment on the fic talks solely of Rodney (even though there's loads of things other than Rodney which are awesome. And actually my first draft of the comment was better, but then there was a tragic accidental hitting of 'discard' rather than 'send' and comment draft two sucked.) because, well, funny story.
So last year during wrisomifu during one of the check-in posts, jinjurly posts with something to the tune of 'i'm a miserable fuck because all i've gotten done today is this one sentence and i don't even know if it's in character voice' and then she posted a sentence. It was awesome and great and made me want to read the fic. I replied to her going, 'That's Rodney's voice! It's spot-on! And if it isn't Rodney, then wtf are you doing with his voice, give it back, he needs it to yell at minions! P.S., Do you need/want another beta?' (Notice that slick ploy of mine-- it comes across all nice and caring, but really, I just wanted to read the story that went with that line.)
And so, ever since, this story has been defined by the Rodney!voice for me.
And I really want to tell you the line, but that seems unfair as the story isn't even up yet. So I shan't. Ha!
