This is true. I also believe that maybe it's because they do such a good job looking like people, but yet a horrible job acting like one, i.e sick, or diseased, or mentally ill, and normally we as humans feel awkward and nervous around someone with these characteristics. Awfully to say, I know, but it's true. You ever heard of the Uncanny Valley?
