Traveling is miserable. I just got home from California. It is 1:30am. I was supposed to be home three hours ago, but my stupid plane was delayed. First I had a flight from Burbank to New York, which had to take a pit stop to fuel up (???), and they said that it would delay the flight an hour. They gave me a ticket for a new connecting flight from JFK to Boston, which would leave at 10:15. The delay only took half an hour, though, so I wanted to be on my earlier flight at 8:45 so that I would get home earlier. This was a huge ordeal in itself, as my seat on the earlier flight had been taken and they had to get me a new one. By this point, my flight was leaving in 15 minutes and I had to take a shuttle to a different part of the airport, and (surprise!), run to the absolute furthest terminal. I made it there with about ten minutes to spare, only to discover that the plane had been delayed two hours. I was furious, and tried to switch my already twice-switched ticket back to the 10:15 flight. I was informed, however, that THIS flight had been delayed until 11:30. I realized that there was no way I would be back in Boston before 12:30, at which point the subway stopped running. I couldn't take a cab, because I had no cash as a result of losing my debit card earlier this week. To make matters worse, I couldn't reach anybody who might be able to help me because, for whatever stupid reason, I couldn't get steady enough cell phone reception in the airport to make a phone call. Eventually I managed to get in touch with my parents, who called my aunt, who picked me up at the airport. So finally I am home. And I am going to bed. Right now.
