I think you're gonna need your shoe, Boone.

Most delightful Psych ep ever, y/y? There is no possible way that I am the only one who desperately wants to see a Peters & Boone spinoff (Geriatric Cops? Overripe Grapples? Checkers and Guns? The Early Bird Special? Or simply Peters & Boone?). THEY WERE MAGNIFICENT. Greatest use of guest stars that this show has ever done. And I giggled quite hysterically at Lassiter wanting to name his gun "Thunder Stick." LOVE. NOTHING BUT LOVE FOR THIS SEASON.

Day 26 - A pairing that you hated and ended up loving?

Hmm... that would be Jim/Pam from The Office. I've never really hated them, but I hadn't exactly liked them. Frankly, I felt that they dragged the show down with relationship drama that I simply wasn't interested in, because, well, I've never been all that into star-crossed lovers, and you knew from their very first scene that these two would end up together, so there was no excitement in it for me. I just found them boring as boring could be, and they often times annoyed me with their refusal to do anything about their feelings. I just... blech, I found them off-putting. While everyone else swooned at the Casino Night kiss, I rolled my eyes and said, "Yeah, she's going to refuse him." AND HEY, GUESS WHAT? She did. While everyone angsted over Jim and Pam's angst in season 3, I lamented about what jerkasses they were and how they totally deserved each other in all their jerkassy glory (although, I did enjoy the fact that Pam got to develop a personality away from Jim. Previous to season 3, her character development was almost always tied to Jim in some way). But anyway, I found them annoying more times than not, and at best I tolerated them. But then Jim fake proposed to Pam when he went to tie his shoe and they shook my heart a tiny bit, and then Jim real proposed to Pam at a gas station in the pouring rain and I may have sighed a little, and then they found out that Pam was pregnant and Jim's smile got me, and then they got married and smiled at their goofy friends as they very predictably danced down the aisle in the style of that YouTube video, and then, this is the big one, THEY HAD A BABY. The baby is what finally won my heart, because the baby episode was so very real that I could feel exactly what they were feeling, and their big "aha, we're parents!" moment was just so dang beautiful. AND THEN THEY WENT ON AN INTERVIEW FOR A PRESCHOOL, and totally failed, and they were just beyond adorable there. And basically, Jim and Pam as an established couple is a wonderful thing, and Jim and Pam as first time parents is a beautiful thing, and I'm so happy that the show didn't draw out their angst for longer than it had to (and frankly, season 3 was pushing it there for awhile). I know that I'm of the minority here, but I find Jim and Pam far more fascinating as a couple than I did as lovelorn piney things. There is just so much more to a relationship than falling in love. The trick is staying in love, through unexpected children and money problems and unfulfilled dreams and life, and this is a couple that can do it.

Day 05 - Favorite quote

Dude, this is impossible to answer. Community's greatest strength is its ridiculously brilliant quotes. I suppose that I will always be fond of "By Zeus, what sort of jackassery is this?" Pretty much anything that comes out of Professor Whitman's mouth is gold. I also like Pierce's coining of the phrase "streets ahead" (and, of course, "streets behind"). I also really, really love Pierce's speech to Jeff when he says, "What some men call failure, I call living. Breakfast! And I'm not leaving till I've cleaned out the buffet," and then Jeff tells him "Good luck," as he's rowing away and Pierce yells, "Don't need it! Never had it!" I wish so hard that I could have Pierce's mentality. That man bounces back from anything with an insane amount of confidence. Anyway, another absolute favorite: "To me, religion is like Paul Rudd. I see the appeal, and I would never take it away from anyone, but I would also never stand in line for it." That quote is so very quotable that it blows my mind.
