The Russian version of Yo Soy Betty, La Fea has just diverted COMPLETELY from the Colombian version and I am so, so lost (as is the love story). WHAT THE HELL? IT WAS DOING SO GOOD. And then... it decided to change absolutely everything after the trip with Catalina. What... I don't... the entire plot, scene for scene, was almost exactly like the original, and it decides to completely deviate now? Now, when Andrey and Katya have been separated for far too long already, it continues their separation to the point where I am having trouble believing that Andrey is even in love anymore. What... WHAT HAPPENED? He even came thisclose to sleeping with Kiera! I just... blasphemy. BLASPHEMY! With Armando, not once did I ever doubt his love. Once he fell for Betty, it was fierce and undying. He only ended up back with Marcela because he was lonely and had thought that Betty had abandoned him for good (and... Marcela was his greatest chance at regaining control of the company at the time). In the Russian version, the Daniel and Olarte characters have taken over Ecomoda and Katya is working for the Catalina character permanently. WHAT IS THIS NONSENSE? SHE IS SUPPOSED TO BE RUNNING ECOMODA AND SHARING TORTURED LOOKS WITH ANDREY. Also, the Michel character is getting way more development than he did in the Colombian version, and honestly, if the show insists on keeping Andrey and Katya separated for any longer, I will probably start rooting for Katya/Misha. WHAT THE HELL? This is more distressing than it should be. For awhile there I was going to conclude that this version was almost as good as the original, and in fact better in some ways, but I take it all back. I TAKE IT ALL BACK.
Also, last night, I forgot to say thank you to my anonymous puppy giver, so, THANK YOU! It gave me a smile. ♥
ETA: Okay, so, fine, it took a total of ONE
longing look from afar to get me back on the Katya/Andrey train. *sigh*
ETA #2: Okay, for serious, this is like the world's longest "let's keep the two leads apart" marathon ever. I've fast forwarded through about 25 episodes of no Katya/Andrey interaction. COME THE FREAK ON! *pulls out hair*
