"You can be part of the problem, or part of the solution. Well, I happen to believe you can be both"

Okay, Modern Family was back up to its brilliant ways. Obviously last week was simply an anomaly, thank goodness (which I think is attributed to the show focusing too much on its guest star. This show should just not have big name guest stars, because it doesn't need them). Anyway, CAM AND JAY, OMG! Oh, how this show needs a fandom so that I can find icons and fill all my icon slots with Cam and Jay and Cam/Mitchell and Phil being weird and Manny being more adult than any of the adults, and, most importantly, an icon of the pool scene, because ooooooh my heart! This show so gets what a family is all about. Oh, I love it. The bit where Jay made the boys say that their family doesn't hurt each other they love each other, and then he smacks them both upside the head? Oh god, so something my father would do.

GLEE! Glee was magnificent. Why? SUE SYLVESTER.

OMG, THE SUE/WILL SWING DANCE FILLED ME WITH SO MUCH GLEE! Greatest thing to ever happen on this show. EVER. And Sue showing up in a zoot suit is a close second. OMG, I LOVE SUE SO FREAKING MUCH. Of course, what she did to Quinn was cold and unforgivable, but it was expected, really. And, I've got to admit, it was lovely seeing Sue back to her badass, iron-fisted self.

RACHEL/PUCK, A THING OF AWESOME AND HOTNESS. Not that I'd want to see them together for more than an episode, but I loved how hard Puck was working to get into Rachel's pants, and, best of all, he actually learned how to be a better person during his time with her. He realized that being in her position was awful, and he finally appreciates her a little bit. At the very least, he will no longer throw slushies into people's faces, and that's something. But anyway, I quite loved the tenderness between them, especially in the bathroom when Rachel was cleaning him off. I just wasn't expecting that at all. I knew ahead of time that Puck/Rachel was going to happen, but I thought it'd be this passionate hate!sex kind of thing, so the fact that they related to each other in this episode was pretty amazing. They were both in the relationship for all the wrong reasons, but they both ended up learning about themselves through the very short-lived relationship. Of course, in the end, Puck hides his vulnerability with his douchiness, but at least now Rachel knows the motives behind his douchiness and can truly consider him a friend, even if he won't admit it.

KURT TAKING ONE FOR THE TEAM! Ooooooh, that boy is so in love with Finn. So, so in love. WHY DOES THE FANDOM NOT EMBRACE THEM? Seriously dudes, the amount of Puck/Kurt fic is a little mind-boggling. Finn/Kurt is where the love is. *sigh* The preview for upcoming episodes made me wicked excited simply because Finn and Kurt get paired off together for whatever that was. CANNOT WAIT. Also, I loved Mercedes sticking up for her BFF Kurt. They are awesome. ♥

RACHEL WAS TOTALLY MACKING ON WILL TONIGHT. She has a crush on him. I'm sorry, but she does. Especially when he dances. I'm not even projecting, because I don't particularly find Will attractive. But anyway, she was smiling up a storm when he sang that rap song, and then she was all giddy when it came time to throw her slushie on him. SCHOOLGIRL CRUSH, I SAY. Don't even argue with me on this (Bunny), because you will not win.

The return of Will/Emma in full force, urrrrrrrgh. The way that the show is so heavy-handed with them continues to make me cringe. I want to enjoy them, but how can I enjoy them when they make me so uncomfortable? I should have been melting during the "I Could Have Danced All Night" scene because it was MY FAIR LADY and I am a sucker for all things related to My Fair Lady, and Emma sang the song pretty darn good, and it was an eerily perfect match for her pining for Will, but instead I was like, "DEAR GOD, STOP IT WITH THE EXTREME CLOSE-UPS. OH GOD, I'M GONNA HURL." Seriously dudes, they ruined My Fair Lady for me. That has never, ever happened before. Auuuuuugh, I can't stand them. The kicker is that I'm pretty sure I'd adore them if they were already an established couple. If that was Will seeing her in her wedding dress and them dancing together for their wedding without all the angstily soulful looks, I'm pretty sure I would have been smiling so hard I was crying. But no, the show is making them this unbearable thing that I simply cannot empathize with, because too many people are getting hurt worse than they should by Emma and Will's inability to grow a pair of balls and do what they really want to do. We all know it's going to end with Will/Emma, so, for the love of god, just GET ON WITH IT already and stop making me sit through all these nauseating "Oh, woe, why can't we be together? Look how perfect we are!" scenes. This is really the only part of the show that brings me no glee whatsoever. Just get them together so that the show will stop focusing on their so-obvious-it's-ridiculous romance. This fixed Jim and Pam for me, so I'm pretty sure it'll work on Will/Emma too. Because, like Jim and Pam, I don't hate Will or Emma, I just... find them annoying with their ridiculous soulful looks at each other. Uuuuuugh.

Wow, that paragraph of Will/Emma hate was much longer than I had meant it to be. Let me add that while I hate the ship, I do not hate the shippers. I believe that we should all ship whatever the hell we want to ship, and if you get your kicks from Will/Emma, then I'm kind of jealous, because I wish I could feel the same way about them.

Moving on, I finally felt a little love for Puck/Quinn tonight. I hadn't previously, because the show made it feel like Puck took advantage of Quinn and that having sex with him was something she really hadn't wanted to do, but after that little look she had for him during Sweet Caroline, it's clear that she feels something for him. And him choosing Glee over football when Finn chose football over Glee probably made her admire him just a little bit. So, yay for making it easier for me to board that ship! I was pretty against it from the beginning, but Quinn just looked so happy when Puck was singing his song, and she's never really looked at Finn that way, so... yeah, I'm digging it, but I still have this weird soft spot for Quinn/Finn that I can't even explain.

Rachel/Finn was even good tonight. Loved the jealousy on Finn's part when he saw Puck and Rachel getting cozy with each other.

QUINN IN NORMAL CLOTHES, OMG! So, so, so, so pretty. Oh, I love her. I'm pretty sure that I am making googly eyes at her every time she's on screen. And now she is officially in love with her Glee pals, because when all is said and done, they'll be there to clean her hair when she gets a slushie facial. *sniff*

As for Ken, I am sympathizing with him so immensely that it just makes Will/Emma all the more painful. I am hoping that Ken is the one to call off the wedding, because I want him to have a little dignity, damn it! Is that too much to ask? I thought he was close to doing it in this episode when he saw how happy Emma was with Will, but alas, he is not willing to give up his lady, no matter how miserable she tries to make him.

Also, I will always get a kick out of Sue calling Emma "Erma." ♥

And now I have the urge to watch every single Will Ferrell as Neil Diamond skit that I have in my possession...

ETA: Ah, HELL NO. Starpulse is officially on notice for insulting Modern Family. I find it hilarious that they praise Glee up to high heaven, a show that is based entirely around overused stereotypes, and then they insult Modern Family for "constructing humor via vomiting over used stereotypes." They are missing the entire point of the show, and I am guessing they haven't watched anything but the promos. Seriously dudes, Modern Family is BRILLIANT. If it gets axed and yet they keep Cougar Town, then I will officially hate ABC for all eternity. Also, I caught The Middle tonight and found it to be kind of hilarious (mostly due to the kids and not the parents. It sort of reminds me of Malcolm in the Middle, only more wholesome and not quite as funny). Hank, however, was terrible. Frankly, I think Kelsey Grammar needs to try a dramedy, because this sitcom thing is just not working for him anymore. He'd probably be awesome on a USA Network vehicle.

show: modern family, ship: will/rachel, show: glee, love machine: will ferrell
