So, this weekend, I had my nephew, therefore I was passed out in bed by 11:00pm on Saturday, therefore I missed SNL, therefore I missed my gorgeous manhunk Will Ferrell hosting the greatest SNL that has ever been performed since way back during his haydays (I know he's hosted at least once between the time he left and now, but it just wasn't that good). This one, however, was brilliant from start to finish. I haven't laughed that hard at SNL in many, many years, and it's a rare thing for me to laugh uproariously at every single sketch, but it happened. Why? Because Will Ferrell is the funniest dude in existence. Also, because he brought all of his buddies. NORM MACDONALD!!!!!! TOM HANKS!!!! AMY POEHLER!!! A BUNCH OF OTHER PEOPLE THAT I CAN'T REMEMBER! Was that the most cameos to ever appear in one episode? Probably. It was epic. That last sketch was so, so awesome. Also, I'm fairly certain Artie Lang was just there with Norm and then went up on the stage just because he was there. He looked all excited yet slightly guilty, so... I think he crashed the cameo party, and it was awesome. Celebrity Jeopardy! Oooooh, how I have missed that sketch. This may be my favorite one. I think it was the Catch the Semen joke, and then Sean asking Alex if that's what his mustache is for. Bwahahahahaha. Also, Will's monologue was so beautifully ridiculous. Basically, the episode was an hour and six minutes of constant laughter. Well... except for the bits where Green Day sang, I had to fast forward through that. But anyway, Will Ferrell is still my favoritest comedic actor ever. I don't care if all of his movies are generally the same, I LOVE HIM! But, you know, when you think about Semi-Pro versus Anchorman, people lose all validity when they say that all of Will's films are the same, because seriously, Semi-Pro was one of the worst films I've ever half sat through, while Anchorman is one of the greatest films in existence. Just saying.
And, because it's been awhile, let's have some ASH:
I would so buy his coffee. *dreamy sigh*
