Because my nephew's shows are really boring. Although the grumpy screw driver on Handy Manny getting dressed up in a baby bonnet had me giggling pretty hard. *sigh* Now we're on Imagination Movers, which is like The Wiggles, only they dance instead of sing.

Anyway:

Comment on this post. I will choose seven interests from your profile and you will explain what they mean and why you are interested in them. Post this along with your answers in your own journal so others can play along.

1. Andy Bernard - The Office

My one true fictional love. *dreamy sigh* I can relate to him in so many ways that it's just sad. He's just so, so wonderful for an infinite number of reasons. His enthusiasm for all things awesome, his persistance in the face of rejection, his ability to find a reason to burst into song for just about anything, his shamelessness at being a suckup (who usually fails in the end because he always goes overboard with it), his absolute desperateness to connect with people (and again, he fails because he goes overboard with it), his ability to put a positive spin on just about any sucky thing in his life, his rage at losing during competitive events, his sensitive nature, the way he doesn't mind being the butt of a joke as long as he knows what's going on, the way his soul gets hurt when he's pranked and has NO IDEA why or what's going on, the way he wears striped ties, his unique verbage. I just love him like I love no other character. He started out as this crazy goofball side character that was kind of a jerk, but... I always understood his motivations. I always saw him as this confused, lonely manchild that was just trying to survive in any way that he knew how, and, just want to note, he didn't start playing dirty until Dwight did. Everyone hated season 3 Andy because he got Dwight fired, but I'm sorry, Dwight was playing just as dirty, he just wasn't as focused as Andy was because he had other stuff going on in his life. Once Andy decides to do something, he puts his whole heart in it. He gets super invested and never gives up until something crushes him beyond repair, and... he always gets crushed in the end. He always gets so close to achieving his idea of absolute happiness and then it will be completely taken away from him right when he had it in his grasp. Luckily, his positivity keeps him from dwelling on his hurt for too long (although the hurt does fester just under the surface, which accounts for his anger problem). I love him. A lot.

2. Blades of Glory

CHAZZ/JIMMY!!!!! That basically accounts for 95% of my love for this film. It is full of big gay love between two goofy men and they somehow end up being sort of hot in their own freaky way. They are just so, so lovely. They fight with each other like 8 year olds, they're opposites and yet share the same soul, they get their lives back when they find each other again, they basically live for each other both as enemies and friends, they only succeed when they have each other. Also, the movie is full of gay jokes, and I love gay jokes. Also, Will Arnett and Amy Poehler committing incest. Also, it makes fun of figure skating. It's just a goofy movie full of manlove, and Will Ferrell rocks my world, so I love it. It's not exactly a good movie, and in fact it's kind of mediocre, but Chazz/Jimmy makes it one of my absolute favorite films. LOVE!!! Also, it was what brought me to LiveJournal. Oooooh, how I loved that BoG comm back when the movie first came out. The fic was wonderful, the art was beautiful, the people were lovely to each other, and it was just an awesome fandom experience (which was sadly short-lived because the fandom died out after a few months, was revived slightly after the DVD came out, and now it's completely dead, and most of the fic and fanart has disappeared due to deleted accounts and locked posts).

3. Boyd/Echo - Dollhouse

LOOK AT THEM! HOW COULD I NOT SHIP THEM? Seriously, they are beautiful. But aside from that, they trust each other with their lives. True, Echo was programmed to implicitly trust Boyd, but Boyd realizes the responsibility that comes with that. He knows he didn't earn her trust, she just gave it to him without thought, so he's doing all that he can possibly do to actually be worthy of that trust, even though he doesn't have to. He loves her. He's loved her from the second he placed her hand in his and she looked into his eyes. It's very much like a father holding his newborn for the first time, so uh... this ship is very wrong on so many levels, but their relationship is the heart of the show. Their love is the closest thing to pure in the Dollhouse. They would willingly give their life for each other, and the second to the last episode proved that Echo's trust in Boyd is genuine, not programmed. THEY LOVE EACH OTHER! AND IT IS BEAUTIFUL!

4. Jack/Liz - 30 Rock

GAAAAAAH, I LOVE THEM! They are only the greatest BFFs currently on television (because Boston Legal is over *sniff*). Anyway, these two are basically the male/female version of Alan/Denny, so how can I not love them? Seriously. They're opposites that complete each other, their indiviual crazy rubs off on each other, they talk to each other about EVERYTHING, they lovingly disparage each other, they can flawlessly predict each other's behavior and yet they still surprise each other (usually in regards to how deep their affection for each other runs), they are hilarious together, and... they just rock. They belong together, plain and simple. They are pretty much always in my top 3 list of greatest ships ever.

5. Lassiter/Juliet - Psych

I think that pic is explanation enough, yes? But I'll say something anyway. They are pure bantery adorableness. She is perky, he is curmudgeonly. She's intuitive, he is obtuse. She makes him smile, and he brings out her tough side. They both get off on competing with each other and showing off their abilities (and they fight between being impressed and ticked off when one loses to the other, usually Lassiter loses to Juliet). He knows that her hair smells like peaches, and she got mad when he didn't comment on her three different hair styles one week. She gets jealous whenever he tries to date other women, and he is quietly resigned at her choice in men (and secretly pining for her. Come on, you know it's true). They are partners, therefore Juliet refuses to think of him that way, and she made that clear to him early in their partnership, so he is prevented from ever acting on his feelings. It is just full of adorable repressed feelings, but they got screwed over for Shawn/Juliet. BLECH!

6. Pirates of the Caribbean

These movies are just freaking awesome. I love them. They are hilarious and full of adventure. And, I really, really dug Jack/Elizabeth. I knew that Elizabeth/Will was the romance of the films, but I loved the idea of Jack/Elizabeth and how much more well-suited they were to each other, and how she was probably the only woman that Jack would ever have been able to love more than (or equal to) the sea. Also, Jack Sparrow, I love him. Also, Chow Yun-Fat was in the third film (sadly the third film kind of sucked). Anyway, the characters (besides Will) and the stories and the fights in this film were fantastic and it's great to put in the DVD player when I just want to escape for awhile.

7. Xander/Dracula - BtVS

They are basically my season 8 OTP. Their story actually starts in an issue of Tales of the Vampires. Dracula helps Xander get over the loss of Anya, and Xander becomes Dracula's everything. He is so, so lonely, and Xander provides him with this surprisingly satisfying companionship where he teaches him how to ride a motorcycle and he makes Dracula laugh and Xander is under Dracula's thrall so Dracula is everything to him, and when Buffy comes to bust Xander out, Dracula refuses to let him go. He practically begs her not take him away from him because "He's all I have left..." But then, for Xander's own good, he sends Xander away in much the same way that George sends Harry away in Harry and the Hendersons, and then... when Drac's alone in his mansion, in the dark, his hair goes gray, his eyes gloss over, and he gets all wrinkley and sits in his chair with nothing to live for anymore. Then, in the season 8 arc, "Wolves at the Gate", Xander goes to Dracula for help with their current big bad. When one of Drac's servants tells him that they have visitors, he looks even worse than in the previous comic, he's got this long gray beard and he's in rags, and he tells the servant to send them away, but something makes him get up and look out the window, and he sees Xander, and his eyes light up and he tells his servant to wait. Then, he opens the door and he's back to his exceptionally groomed self and he's looking young and vibrant and he and Xander have this bantery relationship where they act like they hate each other but Drac's love keeps shining through and Xander keeps fussing over Dracula's well-being and Xander's girlfriend is SO JEALOUS, it's hilarious. And eventually Dracula helps Buffy out purely for Xander and he ends up almost sacrificing himself in order to save Xander. The comics aren't even shy about Dracula implying that Xander is his whole world, but of course Drac would never actually say this to Xander. Their love is so very beautiful, and I hope that Dracula makes another appearance in the comics and finally admits his feelings to Xander.
