Anne of Green Gables

Why do I always forget that every single scene between Matthew and Anne makes me simultaneously smile like a loon and cry like a baby? He's just SO proud of her and he loves her more than anything and it's always there in his eyes and it just warms my heart so much that my eyes insist on leaking. Gah, I always forget how in love with Matthew I am ( Read more... )

Ok. I must go re-watch the Anne mini series now.

Because, yes, I own it on DVD and I'm a big ol' sap for them. I even like the third one.

Hee! How can anyone NOT own them on DVD? It was such a staple of my teenage years. I don't have the third one though. That one takes some serious dedication to sit through more than once.

Hee! I like when random people come over and see it on DVD and then talk about how much they love Anne. If we want to bring about world peace, through Anne we must do it.

Oh, man, you invoked the power of Anne of Green Gables! Gaaaaah! That is just like my favourite movie ever, and one of my favourite books ever, and even though I loooove me some Anne/Gil like crazy, I don't think anything gets me the way the relationships between Anne and Matthew and Anne and Marilla do. Very few things get me all emotional and verklempt just from being so freakin' COMPLETELY BEAUTIFUL.

And oh man, I think I first watched and fell in love with this movie when I was like five, and Matthew's death is a sorrow that I have, on some level, carried around like my whole life. Godddddd!

I suddenly want to be watching this RIGHT AT THIS VERY INSTANT.

Dude, the first time I saw this film was in my sixth grade exploratory class (which was a modern term for compulsory study hall), and... I was the only dweeb who was COMPLETELY GLUED TO THE TV SCREEN while everyone else chattered on and I kept shushing everyone near me. This is just one example of why I was friendless for a good long while. But ooooh, how the story captivated me! Anne and Matthew! Guh. They kill me. So damn beautiful. And the way Anne works her way into Marilla's heart. Oh, I love it. So very much. And Anne/Gilbert sent my preteen heart all aflutter. I was always too lazy to read the books though. But guh, there were so many days where I was walking to lunch with a tear-stained face all because of that darn Matthew and his undeniable love for his little girl. *sniff*

QUESTION: Where can I find Manchild? My one source only has the unaired pilot and nothing else. And I need some more ASH. Merlin/Free Agents/BtVS is just NOT enough for me.

You can get series 1 on the instant watch of Netflix if you have it (you can get a free 2 week trial, I think). Series 2 I uploaded awhile back since they keep delaying the DVD release and it took a whole lot of hunting to find the torrent, so you can find series 2 here. I'll probably end up uploading series 1 once I get around to ripping the DVDs.

FTW! I shall put the link to series 2 in my mems, and keep a lookout for series 1. (Due to my ASH lust, I have no time to fart around with NetFlix LOL)
