First he was pushed out by Merlin/Arthur, and now Uther/Morgana are making him their bitch. Not cool, guys, not cool. I have been shipping non-canon ships since I entered fandom, and this entire episode ranks near the top of episodes that have explored my non-canon ship without actually allowing it to happen. I really hope that they never abandon nor destroy this relationship as has happened with some of my other favorites (glares at Lost), because they work wonderfully together and there's just SO MUCH ANGST!

This is possibly the truest line of all the amazing lines here. It totally is. Morgana =/= daughter in Uther's mind, whatever he may say.

YES!!! This is why I loved it so fiercely. It was absolute perfection. I honestly don't know how anything will top this now.

They definitely can't abandon this ship. I will die a little if they do. They've made it so abundantly clear that their destinies are tied together, and I still believe that Morgana will eventually be the death of Uther in one way or another.

Oh god, Uther was definitely reciting wedding vows. Even the way he was saying it sounded so much like a wedding. I think he wants to view her as his daughter, but uh... he's a man, and she's gorgeous and courageous and the only person that stands up to him, so... I'm pretty sure there are some lusty feelings in there somewhere. And I often wonder if he'd be hurt beyond repair if she slept/fell in love with Arthur

Aaaah, I watched the first ep yday and loved it! Didn't think I was gonna but I so did. Uther is so damned hot. Screw the father/daughter thing, him and Morgana should get it owwwwwwwwn!

They're so better together than Morgana/Arther who have zero chemistry as I've seen as of yet. Where as Uther's "I'm your Guardian" made me melt. Anthony Head, UM YES!

Still really in recovery after this ep. I don't see how they can ever better it but I sincerely hope they try. The scene has been set for some *serious* Uther/Morgana angst next season. *Prays ardently for a series 2*

Hee, I'm glad you enjoyed it! I'm still in recovery too. I must have watched that darn episode five times last night, and not just because I was studying it for the meta. I am addicted. I pretty much know the dialog of the Uther/Morgana scenes by heart. And that hug I've watched way too many times to count, and I get all teary every single time. I am such a sap.
