I was filling out applications today and I went to look up some info about the very first job that I ever had, and when I went to the
website I found out that they closed down! *cries* So many memories! I thought it would be there forever. *cries some more* I had the greatest bosses that anyone could ever ask for (which I didn't realize until I had other jobs). They paid me $8.00 an hour (I was a childcare attendent) plus they gave me $100 gift certificate every Christmas and $60 for my birthday. And they loved me because I rarely called in sick and I would cover everyone else's shift at a moment's notice, but that's because I loved working there and I loved knowing both morning and evening kids. And they gave me so much freedom, they weren't sticklers at all. And they actually appreciated me. And all of my friends from high school would work out there, so I always knew somebody. And some people from my college worked out there, too. My high school friends actually got me the job, Susan hired me right on the spot because they all vouched for me. Then they all quit shortly after I started working there and I was all on my own. *sigh* But that was such a great place, I'm so sad to see it go.
And oh my god! Clinton James became a personal trainer! I always thought he'd move to Hollywood and be a big movie star, he was so hilarious. And he was such a sweetheart too, which was a rarity in my school! Especially for the popular kids. I still remember sitting next to him in Driver's Ed class and passing notes back and forth, all jokes to each other. And at the gym he was pretty much the only coworker that I actually talked to after all my friends left. Wow, I still can't believe he became a personal trainer! I seriously thought I was going to see him pop up on Saturday Night Live one day and he'd be the next Will Ferrell.
