I was so surprised to see this on my flist that I'm pretty sure my first reaction was: I'm still asleep, and this is some extension of an unrealized fantasy.

But then I wasn't! And I was so happy!

But seriously, I adored Charlie remembering darkness and the way to see through it, the way he applied his zen to this particularly carnal moment.

But back on topic! The light in the darkness theme was brilliant and made the fic all the more enjoyable. Truth be told, I generally don't go for NC-17 fic. The way most fic authors only write for sex, sex, sex frankly bores me, but you added character depth--you gave it motive--and for that I can say: you rule my world. Thank you for the wonderful read.

See, I can't write straight up porn. I'm with you, that can get boring. It always has to have an emotional element to it in order to satisfy me. But I got a little graphic there towards the end, so I made it NC-17 instead of R.

I'm watching NCIS right now (YAY!), so I might just have to take you up on that Gibbs/DiNozzo offer. I don't know, I'll see what I can do. The writing bug only hits me once in a blue moon.

And the Michael/Ryan prison story has been festering in my brain for quite awhile, so I will drive myself crazy until I write it. But I'd have to get back into Office mode, which probably won't happen for awhile.

okay...i like slash as much as the next gal, really i do. like, for example, Gary Oldman making out with men in Prick Up Your Eyes = HOTTTTTT. John Barrowman and Spike aka Capt Hart going at it with the mouth sex in Torchwood = HOTTTTT. Crews and Roman...was never a pairing i would've imagined. Crews, Reese, and Roman - maybe. but Crews and Roman, i'm having a hard time with. someone has a Garrett Dillahunt fetish! and that someone isn't me. great actor, adore him, he's awesome in everything, especially as a trippy Jesus, but thinking of him doing the nasty....is not a place i can go. only because he's sooo good at creeping me out! like with Ben on Lost - love him madly, can't imagine him having sex with anything anywhere ever.

i did really like the introspective elements in this, that it wasn't straight "porn". i think a further look at Charlie's "prison love" days would be WAY WAY interesting....just not with Garret Dillahunt, yeah?

Well, see... I'm totally digging enemy slash at the moment, and I blame a person on my f-list for assaulting me with Garrett picspams and convincing me that he's a sexy beast. And as Roman he was just very... sensual. I don't know, I can't explain it. Obviously I need to make a Charlie/Roman picspam to convince you lot that the pairing is full of hot.

Also, thanks for reading! I'm glad that you enjoyed the character elements. An exploration of his prison days would definitely be interesting, but I can't go that dark. I needed a dark yet slightly fluffy in a twisted way kind of fic. ;)
