Forgive me for being frank, but during the times when we were working on the blood tablets, I noticed you had a certain... scent of blood.

I can tell that you are not human. Though I am certain whether or not we are one and the same. Because if we are... then Rido is far more dangerous to you than I originally would have imagined.

Might I ask what led you to this conclusion? Not that I'm dismissing your warning at all... But you're the first person to come up and suggest such a thing, so you can see why I might be a bit surprised.

You may call it... for the lack of a better word, a feeling.

Humans and vampires "feel" different from one another, but you do not fall on either category. I am aware, however, that certain vampires here do not feel the same as they do back home, so I can't be certain.

The only thing I'm sure of is that you are not human.

That is an interesting theory, Mr. Kuran. But, there's a flaw in your logic, and that is that you're failing to recognize the genetic variables between a good majority of the inhabitants of this City, whether vampire, human, or any number of other species and subspecies. I quite understand making that mistake. I had failed to consider that during my own medical research, much to my embarrassment. My colleagues will never let me live that down...

Even if I don't register to you as a human, it doesn't mean that I'm not. Have you ever met anyone else from my own world as a basis of comparison?

There are flaws to this conclusion, yes.

But I am merely concerned if you are a vampire, as pure-bloods from my world have certain powers over other vampires. Admittedly, being a pure-blood myself, I have never tried this on the City's resident vampires and have no intentions nor interests in doing so.

However, Rido is not someone who is so kind to restrain himself.

Of course, if you are neither a vampire nor a human, then your only worries would be Rido wishing to partake your blood, and not bend you into submission.

I appreciate your concern, and certainly you'll be one of the first to know if I should have any difficulties with this person. But given your warning, I'll be sure to be careful to avoid any unwanted attention.
