when all paths into my mind are blocked, i type.
I have a fever. first, you have to understand that I usually run really low--like 96.2. this morning I'm 100.3 and I have the chills. It's funny cause i could totally feel it coming. yesterday, my voice sounded normal but it was sore and i could feel it constricting. today, i don't have a voice. i'm trying to not talk so maybe i can have some voice for tonight's performance at 7:30. Since the show is just a collection of seperately-directed and unrelated scenes and I'm just in one, I wouldn't mind just skipping our scene. of course, i can't do that to the other cast members from my scene though. and we have the most rockin cast out of any of them! so we will just have to have a hoarse portia (it took me a long time to figure out how to spell hoarse right there...horse, hourse...)
haha. the Aida scene in the end of the show tonight was funny (even though i didn't get to see it) because anna was out with a fever. she and brian have a duet together and then becca comes on for a solo. since anna was out, sarah (their advanced-acting director) filled in for anna, but she was lip synching and becca was singing anna's part as well as her own. i need to tell becca that lydia was convinced it was the soundtrack cause she was so good. i wish i had seen it!
maybe i can have someone say my lines from behind the curtain tonight, and i will just lipsynch. that would be rediculus.
