I may have seen an episode of Roundhouse once, because the name sounds familiar, but that's it. I'd never even heard of the Tomorrow People before I met you, so I have no idea where I was when that aired... :(
Of course, I watched the first two episodes of Sliders, because I liked him from My Secret Identity. But then we stopped getting the Sci-Fi channel. Double phooey.
Yes! It becomes clearer with every conversation that we really do have to get together someday, Tig.
Okay, I looked it up. You're right--I should have seen some of Roundhouse, unless it was one of those shows I actively avoided, like Rugrats or Ren and Stimpy. It seems that the original TP aired a couple of years before my hard-core Nick time, which (going through the list) looks like it started in 1986. I do recognize a couple of the shows before 1986, though. Like Black Beauty. The second version aired in the early 90's, after I had slacked off again and was only watching selected shows.
That makes even more sense, then. I missed TP on both ends, since we were both only four-six years old when the original series aired, and the new series began after I'd cut down on my Nick time to a few select shows.
Know what your description of the Tomorrow People reminds me of? There was an ancient movie called something like "Return to Witch Mountain" or something like that, about a boy and a girl with telepathic powers. Well, the boy was telepathic, anyway. The only scene I remember from the movie is when he was being mind-controlled and tried to drop something heavy on his sister when she wouldn't cooperate. But I digress...
It's amazing that I can remember Black Beauty. My brain is good at retaining things that don't really matter in the grand scheme of life...why is that?
I'll have to rent both of them at some point. I must have seen it when I was very young, because I didn't remember that they were aliens...but for whatever reason, that one scene is stuck in my head. Little blonde girl. It'll be an interesting psychololgical experiment to see how accurately my memory actually perserved it.
Sad, on the one hand. On the other hand, if I could only harnass that energy and use it for more practical purposes, I would never have to study something twice ever again.
I don't know, but if we could come up with a way to make that happen, for example, *inserts appropriate technobabble*, we could make a lot of people happy.
