Quick post before sleep
Well, the computer has issues. My IT Goddess - Trina - turned it on yesterday and said, "Well, it's obviously the hard drive." Great. Just great. She started looking through and told me that my hard drive has "bad spots" - basically something that just happens with time. She would be able to save the parts of the hard drive that didn't have "bad spots" - but who even knows what that means? It could be almost everything gets saved, or that I've lost a lot. As always, the only thing that I care about is the pictures and music. The music, I suppose, is slightly less important because it is more readily replacable. I don't remember the last time I backed everything up, but I know it's been a few months at least. I'm now going to become fanatical about backing up. While Trina was searching, she said, "Don't worry, everytime you plug into the network, it automatically backs your computer up." Yay! But then she said, "Wait a minute...it appears that your computer hasn't backed itself up on the network since 2005." Which is when she first gave me the computer. Doh.
So it'll take a few days before I know the full extent of the damage. I'm trying very hard not to think about it.
I have worked myself into a state over these internship interviews. I just want them SO BAD. I'm all worried that they'll be uber-competitive and that tons of people will be applying and I won't get one. And then, dear friends, things could become very, very messy.
I am losing it over the election. I am so mad that Hillary has already been declared the winner in my state of Ohio...damn it all. Didn't anyone see the debate between her and Obama at Cleveland State? So far as I was concerned, she wrote herself off the ballot with her attitude...so now I'm holding my breath and praying hard for Texas.
And now to Stephen King and my bed.
