Okaaay...
Today was one of those boring days. This morning I went to a reception for my boss Shirley and the Physical Services secretary, both celebrating their 25 year anniversaries with the Town. I had cake and idle, uninteresting banter with random people. Came in just in time cuz I was doing minutes for meetings in the morning. Then I came upstairs and worked on finalizing the minutes. I'm not supposed to do ANY work on them during my office time, since I get paid for those separately, but a) I tend to cram, and b) I have no printer. Oh well. Aside from that, I just did a little work on some long-term projects, blah blah. Finished the emergency contact phone tree... woo.
I'm doing a cost analysis to investigate whether we should update the Charter in-house, and I offered myself as the lowest cost alternative. Hopefully that was a savvy move on my part. =o9
Got to say hi to the ole executive secretary, maureen. She called looking for Shirley. Always a cheery person to talk to... says everything with such warm emphasis. Mostly because she's usually intoxicated... but we love her all the same. :)
*thinks for a minute...* damn, nothing worth talking about happened today. OH! When I was going into work, I was about to go through a green light when I see some schmuck sliding through his red light like he was on skates. Glad I averted that disaster.
I have a Housing Authority meeting tonight. I need a cup of coffee the size of my head to get me through this. My awesome killer microphone doesn't seem to be working so well... it seems to be cutting in and out as it records. This makes me rather sad. :( I love my mic. O well...
I have mad checks to cash. I get another one tonight from the Housing folks. If I wait till Thursday, I'll have like almost a grand to cash, which is kooky. Nice to be able to know I can live a good while with no income.
