[ Castiel's voice sounds far away and less gravelly than usual when he speaks into the phone. If you could see him, he'd be standing in the kitchen of this strange house, wearing clothes that are most certainly not his. He misses his trenchcoat. And what is this strange stuff in his hair? [ While Cas is on the phone, Yamamoto's making his way into the kitchen to fix something to eat.

Does he look at all phased that there's a new guy in his kitchen? Not at all! ]

Hey!

[ And then opens the fridge to make a sandwich. ]

[ fjkgnsf. Cas wasn't expecting a kid in the kitchen. Not that he showed his surprise. ]

[ignorant]

[ It's okay. Yamamoto's sort of used to people popping in and out of his house now. At least a new dad was better than a droned Eiji. ]

[ He pauses, trying to figure out how to put it. ]

We've all pretty much been kidnapped - yeah, there's a lot of us here - and now we live here until we can get out.

...Oh, and don't drink the milk.

[ ...Cas considers this for a moment. ]

...What's wrong with the milk?

Well, the delivered milk anyway! The milkman kinda [ coo-coo for cocoa puffs ] not the nicest guy around.

Apparently it's poisoned.

... I see.

[ he doesn't.

and then his stomach growls. ]

You're not human elsewhere?

[ He seems amused, but, at the same time, sympathetic. So he pulls some stuff out for a sandwich, grabbing two extra slices of bread. ]

I'm an Angel of the Lord.

[ oh food. right, he hadn't eaten food in a while. ]

Really? Like...with wings?

[ SANDWICH MAKING IS GO. Yamamoto's such a domestic housewife sometimes. When he isn't kicking ass and taking names. And being a teenage boy. ]

I hope you like turkey sandwiches then.

[ WATCHES INTENTLY so he can make food for himself later... ]

I don't have many food preferences. A turkey sandwich sounds fine.

Can you fly with them?

[ He's putting together the sandwiches! Some mustard, a little mayo, turkey meat, lettuce, tomato - the works. ]

To humans it looks like I simply appear. But, yes, I can fly.

[ Cas is trying to figure out where the hell he is, but it's hard without angel powers. 8( He's kind of internally freaking out a bit, but he's kinda hungry and his hair itches so he figures he might as well try to act natural... ]

Pretty cool! Probably lost your wings though, huh? We kinda lose a lot of stuff when we come here.

[ It's totally working, Cas. ...Only not really at all.

TA-DA! The perfect manwich. ]

For now! We get our stuff back eventually. Just don't get it from the postman.

[ He's saving you a lot of trouble down the line, Cas. Unless you like missing limbs. ]

Well, welcome to Mayfield. We're technically a family now. According to the town, you're my new dad.

[ HE LOOKS MOMENTARILY TERRIFIED or as terrified as he can without really showing much emotion. But then pulls himself together. ]

I don't know how an average family operates.
