Anyone care for a welcome drink?

Aw hell, I don't even really know how I got talked into this in the first place. Musta been some sort of mental lapse. Well, either way, seems I'll be joining you merry band of miscreants from now on. Just don't expect me to shower you with smiles and gold stars because that's not how things work in Wolverine-land. Got it? Good.

::Crosses her arms, but offers a friendly smile:: I can point you towards the liquor. But you should be aware that most of the students here are underage, so try to keep it away from them. Kids with erratic powers, plus booze? Not the wisest idea.

I'm Moira, by the way. ::holds out a hand:: And you are?

::internally cringes at 'pretty head' but bites her tongue:: Well, I'm glad we have that straight. Wolverine? ::gives him a firm shake in reply:: So how is it that you found us?

(ooc: Welcome, btw! Glad to have you join us :D)

*nods to Erik* He found me, somehow. Again. Told me about what's happening and figured I could probably be some use. Let's see if he's right.

(ooc: gracias! And you can blame swagneto for dragging me into this. Or thank her. Either one works.)

Oh? Erik recruited you? I knew he had gone off for awhile on business... ::instantly starts wondering where he lies on the side of human-mutant alliance:: What exactly did he tell you?

(ooc: Perhaps I'll have to do a little of both ;P)

Hey hey, let's not get ahead of ourselves. He didn't "recruit" anything. I just thought it sounded like an interesting deal and wanted to check it out. He just told me there's a bunch of ya training to use use your powers.

And since I've been around...a while...I don't need much training. But who knows, I might learn somethin' new anyhow.

(ooc: she's persuasive. Though I had trouble deciding between Deadpool/Gambit/Wolvie)

Sorry, I meant no offense. But that is the gist of it. And not just training. Providing a community of support and acceptance. A place where you don't have to hide. Especially with some of the younger ones here, its so important. You should feel quiet welcome.

And I like to think we all learn from each other. But its nice to have someone with experience. What sort of background do you have?

A community, huh? Well, so long as we don't got to have sleepover and do "dear diary" talks I'm fine with that. Maybe I can pound some sense into a few of the younger ones as well. *quick glance* Not literally, I mean.

As for my background, well, that's a long, looooong story. I've been around the world a few times. Literally. But I'm best at combat and tactics, if that's what you were thinking.

::laughs:: Well, I can't make any promises on the sleepovers. Most of the mutants here do stay at the mansion. But no dear diary talks or gooey heartfelt discussions. Alex alone would make sure that never happens. ::laughs:: I know you didn't mean that literally, don't worry.

If you ever feel like sharing, I'm all ears. As for combat and tactics, it seems you and I share some common skills.

Common skills? *laughs, quickly and somewhat quietly* Yea, if you want to put it that way.

And sure, I'll tell you more, if you've got a few days to spare. Unless you want the really, really short version.

Anyway, I was told about a Mr. Xavier...supposed to be the leader person amongst all o' you. Where's he at?

::crosses her arms again, not enjoying his belittlement one bit:: I may not be able to sprout weapons from my body, but I've been trained extensively, both on the field and off.

Why don't you enlighten me in on the short version then? I'm sure they'll be plenty of time for you to fill us in one the rest.

::grows tense at the mention:: Charles, yes. He's actually been feeling a bit under the weather lately. Not entirely himself. But hopefully he'll be around to welcome you shortly. I'm sure he'd be eager to get to know you.

I don't mean no insult, lady.

All right, the really short short version? I seen both world wars and a couple decades before that too. Learned what I could in the meantime. After all, this healin' don't just mean I lose the scars from cuts. *eyes her, waiting for a reaction*

Charles? Strangely normal name. Well, guess I'll see him whenever he gets back then.

Moira. Please call me Moira.

So, you're invulnerable? ::eyes him right back:: I take it that your mutation also slows your aging process? Are you able to heal and repair internally from illness and disease also? ::dares not bring up the point of immortality, but its on the tip of our tongue.

If you prefer Professor X, he goes by that too. And what about you? Were you born Wolverine, or do you have a strangely normal name out there too?

Moira it'll be, then.

And I don't know about invulnerable - but I haven't died yet, and there's a list as long as a landing strip of things that should've done me in. As for the rest..haven't ever had to worry about it.

*raises an eyebrow* Professor X? So he's a smart one, then? But if Wolverine's too out there, you can call me Logan, I guess.
