Alex hits the target just a few degrees off the right angle, the force shoves him backwards, tumbling. The Professor and / or he get incinerated (15 maybe 20%).
Alex hits the mark but the impact sends pieces of the mannequin like shrapnel all around the striking point. The Professor and / or he bleed to death, lose a limb, ... (10%).
The coils fail to withstand the repeated absorption of the enormous amount of heat and energy... Ah, it worked!
Wait! Maybe he could use that new metal alloy adamantium of which he heard about in a top-secret report to stabilize the...
