"Someone's been sleeping in my bed, too" said the Mama bear

"Someone's been sleeping in my bed and she's still there!" exclaimed Baby bear. What should we do now, Papa Bear?” cried Baby bear close to tears. “The terrible little girl ate our food and destroyed my chair.”

"Well, this little girl looks quite plump. Perhaps we should dine on her for ( Read more... )

Oh, it didn't end that way~ I made up a new ending. One that's more interesting than the original.

...actually, it's probably more realistic. But still.

Of course, everyone knows that bears don't eat porridge. What's wrong with my ending?

[You many not be able to tell this via text, but Rhode is pouting at the SFC]

It's... Way more morbid, that's for sure.

It's not morbid, but realistic. After all, bears don't eat porridge and one shouldn't break into a stranger house~

But bears don't sleep in beds or sit in chairs either.

...Unless they're those weird circus bears.

Yes, it amazing what tricks circus bears can do~ Perhaps, those bears were descendant of escaped circus bears.

It's certainly different from the more common endings.

Isn't it? I thought it might be a better ending than the original.

The young girl was originally an old woman before they changed it.

Oh, yes. Papa once told me about that. The old woman broke her neck, I believe.

...

You certainly enjoy the more violent side of fairy tales, don't you?

Well, I think they're a little more interesting than the nicer fairy tales~

Well, it isn't like fairy tales weren't violent in the first place...I remember the Grimm Brothers had very gruesome ends to their fairy tales, so what you're doing isn't new.

Yes, most of their stories did have gruesome endings. I remember most of them since we have a book of their fairy tales back home~

[Pouts. See, this is way she needs Tyki or Cyril to be here. No one seems to like the ending of her stories]

The original one is boring. Besides, you really don't learn anything from that ending.

[Isn't it? It sends the message to children that you can break into a person's, or in this case a bear's, house and come out safe and unharmed. The original story is of the Three Bears is worse]

I suppose not~ Still, I don't think many of the ending of fairy tales are quite happy. Little Red Riding Hood get eaten by the wolf. The terrible stepsisters in Cinderella get their eyes pecked out by birds.
