"It's not just the trash," she said. "It's shared experiences. It's shared joy, shared stories, shared laughter.

"It is the involvement of people coming together for the larger goal of rejuvenating the park," she said, describing a new feeling of commitment and cooperation among various neighborhood groups - some African-American, some Latino, some white, some Asian.

"The trash is just a vehicle," she said. "Maybe there'll be a conversation about how the trash got there and maybe people will modify their behavior."

Cleaning his room, for the first time since he got here, Josh feels like he accomplished something. He's not done yet, but he's gotten 75% of the room finished. All he has to do is reorganize his vinyl collection, his assortment of bongs, and his manga collection. Followed by rearranging the whole room too.
Taking a step back from it all, he smiles brightly...he can finally see the floor. Hell he didn't even know it was a space rug under there.
