Georgia bought my sweet tooth

All of you Tastykake fans can relax now. Flowers Foods, a Georgia-based competitor has stepped in and purchased the struggling franchise. The $165 million deal will keep Tastykake operating and will even possibly turn it into a national brand. Tastykake has been struggling since the recession and inundated with millions of debt. Flower Foods will take on all existing debt.

Philly is one happy camper, so happy that he is on his way to thank the southern state. If it wasn't for that Georgia based company buying Tastykake Baking, well Philly and his people would've lost an iconic snack food. And we all know how Philidelphians LOVE food, especially snacks! Something that he's sure many others in his area would feel pretty bummed about. I mean they've been around for nearly 100 years, it's a blessing that someone came to tastykake's rescue.
He hums softly, arms full of an assortment of his snacks. Some include boxes of: Butterscotch Krimpets, Kandy Kakes, Jelly Krimpets, and much more!

Feel free to chance upon him and such.

!ic, thanks georgia, tastykakes, news, !open
