In an attempt to remind myself somewhat of Lawrence today, I went to the community book sale at one of the local art galleries. I was expecting a smaller version of the Lawrence Public Library book sale, both in volume of books available and the books I'd want, but I figured it was something to get me out of the house. I was right on one count.
I got there and it turned out to be, along with a very small number of books at an adult reading level and some cookbooks, 95 percent books aimed at junior-high students. I did happen to find Neil Gaiman's
Coraline for $8.50, but that was the only thing really worth buying. I'll try not to let that discourage me from exploring more of Naples in the future :)
