And then one day you find ten years have got behind you
Nearly Christmas already. The years just seem to be flying by faster and faster. :/ Luckily I've nearly finished my Christmas shopping. I've been pretty good at getting it done bit by bit in the six weeks or so prior to Christmas.
I'm heading down to Sally's family on Christmas Eve, then we'll spend Christmas Day there and then go for a drive to Melbourne, along the Great Ocean Road and then on to Adelaide. Should be cool. I was hoping to stop off at Lake Mungo on the way home, which is nothing much to look at these days (just a dried up lake bed in the middle of the Outback) but is the location where they have found Aboriginal remains dated to 60,000 years, back when it would have been lush green lake country teeming with megafauna. But we'll be in the Mini and I'm not sure I want to take it through the Outback at the height of summer without so much as a spare tyre.
