Not much to report. I think I broke a rib playing touch. Landed badly diving for the tryline (try was disallowed due to a girl claiming she touched me when she didn't). I was able to play out the game, but by the time I got home and cooled down I knew something wasn't right. That was two weeks ago and there's been no real improvement, I'm still ( Read more... )

Apparently for broken ribs doctors won't do anything anyway. They won't even send you for an x-ray to confirm it's broken because it doesn't change the treatment so there's no point getting the radiation exposure. Just have to wait for it to get better.

Yeah, although I can just take over-the-counter painkillers. I have some codeine and paracetamol here.

But I didn't take them either because I think I'd rather know what I'm doing that's hurting my ribs rather than just mask it with painkillers!

well if you can tough it out then maybe it's better that way. they need rest anyhow, I think, to heal

Yeah that's my logic. It's not unbearable pain by any means when I'm being careful with it, it's just if I cough or sneeze that I really feel it.
