Ha. I was just watching Sky News and there was a segment from an American news channel about this football team in Texas.
This team has come up with a new and original way to psych themselves up before games.
The drummers still drum, the cheerleaders still cheer, but then the team goes out, faces off against the opposition... and does this Polynesian war dance called "The Haka."
Apparently Maori warriors used to do it or something, to psych out their enemy.
Personally, I thought the impact was lessened somewhat by the fact they were wearing more body armour than a bomb disposal tech, and even then they didn't look as bulky as the completely unarmoured All Blacks.
But what really did it for me was the final line of the story:
"And it's not just a Texas thing. The Haka is becoming a world-wide phenomenon!"
FUCK. YOU. YOU. BUNCH. OF. INSULAR. IGNORANT. REDNECK. BASTARDS.
