Hayley, Tommy had decided sometime during the years they had spent at school together, was much like the older sister that he had never had. The kind he'd seen in some of the films that Kim and Kat had liked, a girl who was fiercely protective of her little brother and at the same time bullied him into doing what was best for him, no matter whether ( Read more... )

Bored? He won't be bored, soon. Here is one Jason Lee Scott, barging into the room.

He's been vagually kept up on this whole thing through phone tag, or at least the major events. He knows: there was a coma. He knows: there isn't a coma. He knows: there is a hospital. He knows: There was a coma and there is a hospital and there was a fucking coma.

Yeah, okay. Jase is not a pleased guy. Lack of sleep and worry are written all over his face. "Tommy," he says, his voice a little loud; he's never really grasped the concept of 'be quiet and respectful in a hospital room', it seems. "Are you awake? Are you dead? You better not be dead."

To truly represent Jason's mind right now, one must keyboard mash and then look at the result.

And here is one Dr. Tommy Oliver, nearly jumping out of bed in surprise when the door bangs open. He looks at Jason blankly for a moment.

"Yes, I'm awake, and no, I'm not dead, but if you scare me like that again I may well have a heart attack."

Sleep in this place? Only if comatose or sedated, thank you! In spite of the rude entrance, Tommy nevertheless seems happy to have some company, particularly Jason's company.

"It's all right, Bro," he says, a bit more calmly this time. "I'm fine now. Everything... everything should be taken care of."

Though it had seriously been up in the air earlier.

"You're not fine," Jase says, heading over. He doesn't look very happy at all. "If you were fine, you'd be off teaching some class, not in this bed with all these.... things in you."

Tommy blinks, then gives a wry smile. "Teaching class at this time of day? I know I work too hard sometimes, Jase, but I'm not quite that bad!"

He manages to sit up a bit further in the bed, scooting over a bit so that Jason can sit down if he wants. "The doctors said they're probably going to keep me here for a couple days, just to make sure things are really okay." He grimaces. "And while they try to figure out why it all happened, because of course I can't actually tell them what the reason was."

Ranger business and all.

"Really Jason, I'll be fine. The IVs are just fluids and stuff, to make sure I don't get dehydrated or anything. And a mild sedative because they're afraid that I'll freak out or something and go under again."
