So last week, as my blackberry continued to let me know just how old and cranky and about to die it truly was, I gave in and got an iPhone 4s for a trial. I have 14 days to decide whether I want to keep it, or if I want to exchange it for another new phone, or whether I want to go back to the old phone ( Read more... )

Using my phone takes forever for entries like these, too. But it's a lot faster than nothing!

You seem to be having a lot of fun with it so far, based on your activity. If you keep your iphone, I can tell you several apps I use, whether they're of interest to you or not. I've also found that being able to put videos and music on mine is very nice. I'm about to listen to music while I work right now!

I've really got nothing to add about phones, as I've used the same one since 2005.

But that icon...

It...it's glorious.

This icon actually has an awesome story: heyheyrenay and I have this Cock Joke History (don't laugh), and she saw this folder in a store somewhere and immediately, I think, texted me? I laughed, we had a blast, and then I think she like WENT BACK TO TAKE A QUALITY PHOTO OF IT AND SEND IT TO ME.

SO I NOW HAVE AN OFFICIAL COCKFISTING ICON

Hmm, how to put it into words in a way that makes sense? :P

Part of what 'bothers' me is that I don't, personally, have a real need for it; it doesn't fill a very big function in my life. I have a journal where I can post longer (and more private) thoughts, and I have other outlets (Tumblr/Twitter) where I can post silly spur-of-the-moment stuff. Most events that get planned, I hear about in real life; most events, I hear about from the actual people; most of my "Facebook friends" are actually people from high school that I don't talk to nor do I, really, care much about. And that's fine - some people love it; to each his/her own. But there's this attitude among certain people that because I have a Facebook I should be checking it regularly, and that I should be getting news from it, and how dare I not read what they posted. Even my mum, just today, was asking my questions about whether I am Facebook friends with Random Person X, and I was like -- mom I do not really use Facebook. So it -- it doesn't bother me that other people love ( ... )
