[ There is no advanced notice when Naoya posts; it simply happens tonight. And he seems to be much happier--he discovered, today, there was coffee at the marketplace. Mmm yes thank you, caffeine. As such, he has a slightly clearer mind now. ]
Well, aren't these communicators just quaint? I'm sure you're all becoming accustomed to our new prison, since we've had a few days, now, to do so. That's all well and good, but there really ARE other problems I've begun to notice. For example...
[ There is a small pause. ] ... Right now, you should be hearing Japanese, but I know for a fact you are likely to not be. Unsettling though it may be, I have a feeling whatever force is at work here is automatically allowing you to hear what you understand easiest. If it can do something like this, I do not think it's a stretch to say it can do other things, and that it is responsible for our lack of energy. Drugging is probable, but there would likely be more side effects to this were that the case.
At any rate, of what it's capable yet is hard to say--it's likely that this Lamufao the Priestess here has spoken of, the local's deity, is a powerful demon of some form. Thought is a powerful thing... demons are not good, nor are they evil, in most cases. People are the ones who assign use to those words. Which brings me to my point: the same as strong thought can summon power, it can also save people. It seems that this Lamufao creature is what keeps the people here alive, as they asked for it to aid them. This isn't uncommon; in the bygone era, people made 'pacts' or contracts with demons for things. It isn't always a soul one gives up--that is, partially, a myth.
What is truly sad, however, is that humankind is not aware that most of what it has worshiped once walked both alongside us and in another world, as it were. How many of you are truly aware of what the word 'demon' originally meant?
{OOC: Right right. I'm short on ideas for his first post, but here you go. And yes, mass-posted. He's bothering you all. c: Because he can. It didn't take him long to learn how to work the SFC, after all. It's electronic.}
