[ It is somewhat early on into the morning now, but... he cannot sleep. Eight a.m., and he hadn't slept yet. Naoya's sleep habits were always terrible; he wished he could forget everything, sometimes. Right now, most of all, he was likely in a sour mood, as he tended to be in the early morning. He was worried about Hiroki. ]... Tell me, Vatheon... ( Read more... )

There's many reasons for someone to regard another person a hero... And while then, even when that person is regarded a hero, it might not be the same for another person. It will always be blur because of this. Each situation has another side, so in the end... no one is completely right or wrong.

And that difference doesn't matter, it never had mattered. Angel, demon, whatever else - everyone has differences, but not enough for another to become lower or higher. Each being out there has feelings and is capable to feel pain, maybe not physically but inside of their hearts or minds.

... That actually is asked to me recently.

Ah, you're a smart child. I think you've seen through my question. But if that being is unable to feel emotions, and is utterly devoted to being wielded in the wrong sense...?

[a sad smile here, lowering his head as well]

Then I don't regard them as being alive anymore... [without a heart or a proper mind, they can't be called alive. what is their purpose to live? it's sad, but... not everyone can have a happy ending, after all.] Crying, laughing... hoping, being scared or angry... Maybe they can't feel all these emotions, but I'm sure that they have one thing they desire.

Perhaps they want to keep living.

Wouldn't it be better if they were eradicated, were they hurting those you cared for? If you had to choose between allowing those you loved to live, and a person you did not even know was able to think freely for themselves and willing to die regardless, wouldn't you pick the people you know?

There is no wrong answer, it simply depends on how magnanimous you are.

AS YOU SHOULD ♥ pristinestar October 6 2010, 05:21:22 UTC
That is true... But, not necessarily all the time... The answer also depends on the situation. I want to believe that there's always a solution around everything, because I believe in reason. There's a cause for every event, and every event is started by a cause... If I can find the cause, I might be able to save both of them...

[ ... Naoya's laugh is a bit haunted. It's the laugh of a man who, despite sounding young, is a realist. ]

Don't be naive, boy. That isn't always possible.

I know that...

But I want to try before saying that in certain situations. I don't want to conclude something has faced a dead end until I see it for myself.

Hah... just like him.

[ An amused grin goes unseen, but almost heard. ] That's a generous but stupid way of thinking. In some situations, one must decide in a split second, after all. Of course, you're still a child, but... I suppose it's admirable you'd think this way nonetheless.

[my, my. that praise had Red smile quietly, then moved a finger to point up as he kept smiling] ... Did I satisfy you yet?

Ah, Naoya... I wanted to talk to you for quite some time now. I haven't managed a chance to thank you properly... You helped me before, after all. Can I visit you sometime?

Haha.. truth be told, it was a trick question. A satisfactory answer is knowing why someone answered in the first place--

[ ... Cue off screen and off mic spit take. What? Did he even. What is this. ]

... Visit.

[ Is there an echo in here? ]

[ ... Pinged... by... pocky... must... resist... Naoya has noticed he's out of it actually.

... Dammit how is he supposed to say no to this kid? :< ]

... As long as you don't plan on bringing anyone untrustworthy with you. The last time someone broke INTO my house, they were greeted with an ice spell to the face. I rather dislike unwanted company ruining my privacy.

[ What is it with him and giving into kids, anyway? One of these days he has to learn how to say no to the word "pocky" coming from a boy who reminded him of one of the reincarnations of his brother.

... Today will not be that day, sadly. ]

... Take your time.

[ skfdjhg HANGING UP NOW BEFORE HE SAYS SOMETHING STUPID AND TSUNDERE. ]
