Revenge of the Anon : Dragon anonymous February 11 2010, 07:01:35 UTC
Kairi hissed through her teeth, clutching her aching ankle in one hand, her keyblade in the other. There was a minor scrape on her skin just above her shoe, a little blood, but nothing she couldn't handle. The pain, though-she must've twisted something while falling and Mulan was a lot stronger than she looked.

“Ah! Sorry!” Mulan was at her side, kneeled down. Kairi dismissed her concern and smiled through the pain, not wanting to seem weak in the warrior's presence. Sora had a lot of strong friends, many who were much more skilled than herself. It was the reason she asked Mulan to help her train, so she could be strong too, for once. “I overdid it again, didn't I?”

“No, no, that was fine! I'm just...clumsy.” Kairi attempted to move, but with a wince and sharp whine conceded to just let Mulan remove her shoe for her. Far across the courtyard, Sora and Riku continued their sparring match against each other, Captain Shang watching from the sidelines. They moved so fluidly, easy dodging and countering. Of course, they also had the experience to back it up. “Boys are just so much better at this.”

Mulan chuckled quietly and Kairi almost didn't notice the twinge of pain that shot through her ankle at Mulan's handling. “That's not really true.”

Kairi blinked, smiling slowly, apologetically. “Oh, right. Duh.”

“It just takes a lot of work and devotion.” Mulan tilted her chin up at the men on the other side of the courtyard. “They only make it look hard.” She then frowned at Kairi's ankle, which was beginning to swell, if only very slightly. “I'm going to need to wrap this.”

Kairi sighed, retracting her keyblade away in surrender. “Great.” She wiggled her toes and grimaced. “I'm never gonna be good at fighting, not that good, anyway.”

“I don't think so.” Mulan's touch was feather-light on Kairi's leg and she barely felt any discomfort once Mulan began fashioning a split around her ankle.

Kairi shrugged and watched the boys with a tight frown, feeling more and more like this whole trip was just a futile effort on her part. Sometimes, she wished she had Sora's self-esteem, or Riku's confidence. Or both of their bullheadedness.

Mulan brushed a lock of her hair behind her ear and Kairi nearly jumped, startled at the tender gesture. “Hey, don't look so sad. You're not a helpless little girl.” She smiled, something reminiscent in her eyes, something knowing. Her hands continued working. “Besides, there are some things girls are better at.”

Kairi allowed herself a small, curious smile. “Like what?”

“Well,” Mulan finished tying up her bandages, pulling the final ends with a firm tug to ensure their security. She sidled to the left, sitting comfortably on the flagstone ground with her legs tucked to her side. “in my opinion,” She laid the other half of Kairi's bangs behind her ear, fingertips gingerly stroking her cheek. Kairi blinked, eyebrows raising and Mulan chanced a quick glance at the males, finding them quite distracted by their fight still. “Girls are far better at kissing than any man.”

Kairi took this moment to admire the delicate shape of Mulan's eyes, much larger and more expressive, and sensual curve of her lips, much fuller than any boy's. “Really?” She said finally, breathless.

“You're a very beautiful young woman, Kairi. Never forget that.”

The initial kiss was soft and almost cautious, just the light press of their lips together and then Mulan's hand gently cupped the back of her neck and Kairi-shaking off any lingering nervousness-allowed her mouth to part and they shared the same breath for second before Mulan tilted her head to the side, bringing their mouths comfortably closer. The slick warmth of her tongue sliding affectionately against her own, the light tug of her sucking Kairi's bottom lip between hers.

Kairi felt herself giggle softly, through no accord of her own and Mulan spoke, mouth still teasingly close, “See? This isn't hard at all.”

“Nope.” Kairi grinned, licking, tasting her own lips furtively. She wanted to touch, to experiment, a little more, but the boys were finishing up and Mulan kissed her only once more, just soft, and very pointedly put a few inches of space in between them.

“Here,” Mulan crouched, slipping arm around Kairi's waist and hauling her to her feet with a surprising amount of strength. Kairi leaned on her for support. “You can rest inside.”

Attempted to look up the history of Lesbianism in Ancient China. (Yeah, I'm a dorky knowledge hound :3) Enjoy, wonderful anon, whoever you are!
