Cait and Emily Elliot and I drove to Slim's last night to see The Matches open up for Stroke 9. We met Lauren as we were walking in, and I had this realization: WE WERE SO FUCKING HOT. No words.
I saw so many people who I <3!! KATE was there which completely made me glow, and I got to see Alison, and Quincey (omg that girl is a riot) and the Napa Chicks, Jaque and Kristina. I also ran into Shona who I hadn't seen in forever, and Sarah, who I unfortunately only saw for a few moments before she disappeared. Why were Chelsea and Becky not there?!
This guy named Heath who was actually named Steve (almost as bad a name complex as Will!) opened up, and he was weird. Of course, we were way too occupied because there was a bartender who i swear was AN EXACT REPLICA OF STEVE LAM!!! OMG I DIED. I took a photo with him!! The Matches did a good job, it brought back so many memories and made me very happy, but on the other hand I had this almost saddening realization that it will never be the same, that I've grown up too much. Hard to explain...
The Napa Chicks instructed me how to guys to buy you drinks, which was fun but made me feel slightly uncomfortable. However, it was worth it. I had a cosmopolitan (which, someone commented, looked very good on me?) and then this other special drink. Randomly this cute girl named Irene (I'd never met her before) comes up to me and is like, "You need to try this drink!!" I hung out with her for a a while, and tried her drink called a Chocolate Cake shot. Jeezus, it was soooo good, I had some guy order me one and just sipped it because it tasted like heaven. I have a new favorite drink.
I had tickle wars with Steve and Will, and jumped around and it was fun silly times.
This morning Cait Garvey and I rewrote the words to "Say Eighteen". More on this to follow.
