She'd managed to spruce up her office somewhat since
her last appointment. The officers in the hydroponics lab had been wonderfully generous - secretly, she imagined they were just glad to have visitors.
The result was that her office now more closely resembled a greenhouse than anything else. Or maybe a jungle. Still, she'd never had the greatest luck keeping plants alive - it probably wouldn't be too long until she was down to the toughest, hardiest ones.
In the meantime, she cleared enough space on the coffee table for a pitcher of water and some glasses, and waited for her next patient.
It had been awhile since they'd really had a chance to talk.
