Well, the snow is quite a nice wee surprise. I always like how it snows 6inches in England and all hell breaks loose but in Scotland it's nothing. Lorraine Kelly said that this morning; "I know people in the north of Scotland will be wondering what we're all on about down here." and I laughed.
This morning I was up at half seven because I had to take my antibiotics at 8am precisely, and Ally texted me at ten to eight because he has college this week and said, "Oh my God I don't think I've ever been this cold before,"
I said, "Aw is it icy cold or like Russian wind cold?"
He said, "Take it you haven't looked outside yet then...."
Ah so the antibiotic explanation. Sorry to Lauren who I called whilst partially in shock, partially high on morphine and sorry to Andy who I was hysterical with.
On Friday, I fell over onto a drawer cabinet and split my ear in half. Literally, in half. I saw the blood, ran downstairs and looked at my ear in the bathroom mirror. It just looked like a dark red line across my ear so I was like "Phew." then I thought, why the feck is it bleeding so much, so I pushed the top of my ear and it moved. So I pulled it and it opened. There was so much blood in the sink and Ally came down and he nearly passed out. You could see my cartilage and everything, it was horrible.
In situations like this, I tend to just laugh madly to try and not cry, especially in front of loads of boys but seeing Al's reaction and feeling this excruciating pain, I just burst into tears.
Al managed to get my head into the sink to clean it and he said it was the most disgusting thing he's ever had to do. Long story short, they managed to eventually get me to hopsital under protest.
I think I was just in so much shock that it had happened. I mean you don't go out for a night in with your mates and expect your ear to nearly get ripped off. It's a bit unpredicatible. The doctor who looked after me was amazing though. THe place was empty as well, Friday night in Stobhill and empty. She spent ages cleaning it because it kept bleeding and loads of people kept coming in to have a swatch at it 'cause it was pretty gnarly.
So I've got three stitches holding my ear together and loads of antibiotics which make me wake up feeling like absolute shite. I get the stitches out next Monday so fingers crossed that it's knitted together okay. Thankfully, I've been told I'll be left with a clean scar because it was a neat slice otherwise I'd have a totally deformed ear. I do have two pictures of it taken yesterday when we changed my dressings. Mad.
Anyway, apart from that, I have been writing a lot. I need to get college sorted out this month but that is advanced planning. I think today I'll go as far as to plan that I'll have lunch at mid-day and attempt to wash my hair...which I really, really don't want to try without help.
I'll try and get some more parts written today if anyone's reading it.
So yeah, hope everyone's doing okay.
