nighttime, 11:21 pm
It starts with annoying, incessant knocking and "Rennnn, come onnn... let me in!"
"No, Baekho, I'm tired, leave me alone! I just want to SLEEP."
At that Baekho laughs outside the door, "I won't bother you, I promise! We can go right to sleep, just let me in.."
Ren makes a face in the dark. The knocking won't stop. Baekho won't stop.
Why oh why is this his life?
The one evening that JR is home visiting his family for the weekend and Ren would finally get their shared bed all to himself, Baekho would of course get wind of it and come knocking on his door.
And then he's there tapping on the wood again, calling "Our Ren, my Rennie~"
Clearly there's not going to be any peace until he gets his way.
"그만 좀 해! Fine. Be quiet, I'm coming.."
The tired blonde throws the covers off, rolls out of bed and pads stumbling over to the door. On the other side, Baekho is smiling like an idiot, and he laughs when he finally gets the door opened for him. Between the crack in the doorway is a grumpy, adorable Ren squinting out into the hallway light. So cute, Baekho thinks. But he doesn't say it aloud, Ren would kill him.
"Ya! just get in here and shut the door. It's bright~"
"Okay, okay, relax, Rennie."
"Relax? Me? ", he huffs, "How can I! You've disturbed my sleep. Right as I was dozing off peacfully, you started pounding on my door, you big idiot. Thanks alot..."
They shut the door and jostle their way over to the bed. The only light in the room is a dim glow coming from the nightlight on in the corner.
Ren flops down on his side of the bed and Baekho claims what's normally JR's side. He turns on his side toward Ren and says, "미안 해요, Ren, I just couldn't fall asleep, you know...but I am sorry I woke you up." They both lay there a moment until Ren shifts the blankets and they both slide under them.
", Baekho." He smiles a bit, even though Baekho can't see him in the dark.
"Oh good! So you've forgiven me?"
"What? Uh, yeah I guess so.." Ren replies.
"Good, so this means we can cuddle now, right?" The note of mischievious glee in Baekho's voice is unmistakable.
Ren sputters, "Ya, Kang Dong Ho! Just because I felt bad for you and let you in here doesn't mean I said it's okay for you to grope me all night!"
Baekho laughs loud, "Grope? Who said anything about groping, Rennie?" His fingers extend under the blankets to tickle Ren's side. Ren shrieks and shoves his hands away, " Uh-uh, Baekho, I know you! You'll hug me and suffocate me all night, wrapping your huge legs on me til I'm crushed!"
"Aw, Ren, come on, I don't do that..."
"Yes, you do."
"정말?"
"Yes, really. And contrary to what you may think, it is not my favorite thing to be constricted and used like your pillow as I try to sleep!"
Teasingly Baekho chuckles, adding, "Oh I don't think you're telling the truth about that, Ren~"
Ren is hating the greasy tone to that last sentence as his stony silence that follows tells.
Finally, he moves over until he's on the edge of the bed and says, "I'm staying on this side, and you are staying on that side, mister. If anyone crosses this line," he runs a dip down the middle of the bed with his fingers, "he's dead. Got it?"
Baekho lets out a breath of resignation and finally agrees, "Ok, ok! alright...I'll stay on my side. Happy?"
Relieved to hear it, Ren exhales, "Good, 좋아. You better..."
He falls asleep hoping that Baekho will keep his word.

morning. 7:35 am.
Aron, Minhyun, and the manager are eating breakfast in the livingroom, watching a TV show. Suddenly, they hear a shriek followed by a loud thump coming from down the hall. Then there are sounds of someone laughing long and hard and a second very angry-sounding voice yelling about something.
Minhyun gapes, looks at manager-hyung, then Aron. Manager shrugs and goes back to reading something on his phone. His bandmate's eyes twinkle a bit as he says, "Looks like Baekho rediscovered his favorite body pillow last night."
Comprehending, Minhyun smiles and laughs into his cereal bowl, "Ren is silly for thinking every time that maybe, just maybe Baekho's sleep habits had changed..."

hi guys! i'm back and writing more nu'est with ren-focus. i basically love writing anything to do with ren, he's one of my favorite kpop boys! him, key, and ilhoon make my top three. :} okay so i'm a new writer, and i'd appreciate anything you guys have for me feedback-wise. my style isn't really special or anything (as you can see haha) but i do try to be realistic.
