Chapter CXVIII: Of Smoke and Sages
…streets of the Royal City of Rabanastre, a man of unknown origin. Well-respected and loved by commoner and gentry alike, the man Dalan was…(text missing). In the time of the Archadian occupation…(text missing)…assistance to (smudged) Ratsbane. The young man spoke well of the elderly Dalan and his (smudged)…true motives in doubt since the war’s depravities led this older gentleman to partake often of (text missing)…many recalled his reddened eyes and cravings for sweet (smudged). It has been said that Ratsbane himself sought to (text missing) with the man’s (smudged) but Dalan’s beloved pipe was (text missing).
…old man Dalan so loved his (smudged) that he even had a pet name for it as one would have a pet name for one’s lover…(text missing)…commanding Knights of the Order to swear by the (smudged) and kiss it like the hand of Her Royal (smudged)…
The remainder of the chapter is lost to the tides of history. We can only hope that someday the true story will come to light.
