Well, I'm loving every minute of not having to go into work after work! I'd actually forgotten how nice the evenings could be. I usually come home and relax, sit outside or surf the net. Most importantly, I've been catching up on my reading.
Of course, now that I had time to enjoy, I got sick. Down on my back, in bed for four days and missed work sick! I'm still hacking up my left lung now and then. Oh well, now that I've been recuperating and I'm off the anti-biotics, I've actually stopped at my old job site to have a few drinks with the hubby. It's really nice to just go in as a customer and sit and enjoy myself.
Anyway, this weekend, we took a drive up to Snow Lake and took my son's senior pictures. I figured, why go to a professional photographer when I have a thousand dollar camera and a horrendously expensive telephoto lens that I can put to use. And wow, his pictures came out really nice!
I was finally able to fill up his little school house, you know, the frame thing shaped like a bus or school house where you put a picture for every year they are in school? That's when it hit me, he's a senior! There's no more blanks, no more spaces for pictures! I cried a little and every time I think about it, I still get sad.
*sniff*
On a side note, the picture on top of my LJ is one of the ones I took at Snow Lake. The Aspens are just starting to change. Aren't they pretty? Aspens are my favorite tree. I just love the white trunks, the colors they turn in the fall, and the sound the leaves make when they rustle in the wind. *sigh*
And on another side, side note...I'll soon get back into writing as well. I'd love to have feedback when I do! ;) That's all for now. :)
