Cosplay meme... although I don't quite cosplay anymore

01. What was your first cosplay?
Tenpou Gensui, Saiyuki Gaiden. I was in my Saiyuki phase and it was the first anime I really got into. XD (Except Sailormoon back in my childhood.) It was also pretty easy because it required no tailoring other than making a long-sleeved labcoat and I could use my own hair.
02. Did someone get you into cosplay? Or on your own?
I have to thank madsqueeble for introducing me to this hobby and the wacky community of CF. I followed her to the AXN Anime Fest, way back in 2004 and I got really interested in trying it out. :)

03. What is your favourite cosplay?
Hm, would have to be Rinoa Heartilly (FF8). It's comfy and she's a pretty recognizable character.
(I'm sorry that I need validation from people by choosing more mainstream characters. But don't all cosplayers?)
04. Which is your least favourite?
The Rinoa Gunner spinoff I designed myself. It was uncomfortable and people kept mistaking me for Yuna. D8
5. At conventions, do people compliment you on your cosplays?
Um, sometimes. I guess when people want to take your picture it's as much of a compliment as is verbalising it. :)
6. How many have you done?
Not a lot. Mostly due to financial constraints. About 5.
7. What are the top 5 on your list of "Want to Cosplay"?
Too many to decide. But very few costumes really catch my fancy. I have to identify with the character too. I love these equally.
1) Gwendolyn (Odin Sphere): Ballerina costume! And the electric blue feathers!
2) Princess Kraehe (Princess Tutu): Black tutu and pointe shoes. I think this would be a dramatic costume that wouldn't be too difficult, but it woule be expensive. And I get to use my own hair! :D
3) Padme Amidala (Star Wars: Episode I, II): I can't pick between these 3.
But I would definitely go for the black one first. :3
4) Stormtrooper (Star Wars): My sort-of guy crossplay! Nothing beats a Stormtrooper! And I would have to get those voice-modifiers so that I can shout lame lines from the Battlefront II game. 8D
5) The Blue Spirit (Avatar: The Last Airbender): He wears a mask! And it's cool and scary. And he has twin swords! I don't know what is it with me and masks...
8. What female cosplay do you want to do most?
Padme Amidala.
9. What male cosplay do you want to do most?
Stormtrooper.
(Don't mind me, I'm in my Star Wars phase now.)
10. What do you prefer to do, make or buy your costumes?
Preferably buy them. But from a tailor.
11. Your most memorable experience? What makes it so memorable?
Performing Waltz for the Moon at COSMAS2004. It was the last COSMAS, and it was fun making a game scene come to life.
12. Your dream cosplay?
See the top 5 choices above. T_T
And my Jin (SamCham) cosplay with Aiori which we have been planning forever, but not getting down to it in the near future. XP
13. Is there a pattern in your cosplays? If so, what?
I tend to be more comfy cosplaying girly girls, and if I cosplay guys I tend to go for masked ones? ^^;
14. Your most recent cosplay?
Rinoa Heartilly (FF8) at the Animax Youth Festival. I just missed cosplaying, that's all.
15. What do you prefer? Cosplaying in a group or on your own?
In a group is better! But I only had an FF8 group once... Most of the time I'm on my own.
