I wasn't really into the Dom/ELijah thing so missed most of this insanity at the time. I wasn't any better because I was shipping Orli/Viggo bigtime, and in hindsight, now blush when I recall the things I actually believed as the truth. And, you know, not that I mean to discredit teh Ratbert (because I ship it totally) but there are similarities. The BSC seems to crop up in every fandom.
I was just following some old links to Fandom Wank and journal fem and stumbled onto an amusing summary of the Dom/Elijah ship. It's a year old now but still FUNNY AS HELL!!!
It came up as the result of a thread on DL that asked that hot question. "What's the origin of the Prancing Pony thing?"
And we're off.
Reading all this shite certainly goes a long way to explaining why people pushing insider information are greeted with a shitstorm of skepticism. But, though God knows I've been BURNED before, I'm pretty much shipping the BEES.
