Narnia squee

Narnia people and all... hmm, one of you that are already fans of eegatland*, you need to know that she has an essay in the forthcoming Through the Wardrobe: Your Favorite Authors on C.S. Lewis's Chronicles of Narnia.

After reading the first essay (PDF) I need this book! I will be unfairly forced to drag myself to Borders to get it, but it must be mine. And then I may have to hunt down something by this Deb Caletti person, because she is clearly One Of Us. (Go read. You will love.) Granted, I'm not sure how I'll take an essay on "Why Edmund Pevensie is totally crush-worthy" but the writers are clearly well-chosen, so I'll give it a chance. (Edmund is adorable and I kind of spent the entire time watching LWW wanting to adopt him. Probably he'd be more crushable if I was 14.) The one on "How come C. S. Lewis has such a big problem with lipstick, anyway?" will probably be more enlightening.

The only problem is they don't give a release date. The site doesn't say, Borders' website is useless because you can't buy it there, and WorldCat doesn't list it because (obviously) no libraries have it yet. One small glitch in the marketing machine. ;) By the time I ramble in the direction of an actual store, though, it will probably be there. It's not like I don't have other books to keep me placated until then.

* (The rest of you will succumb soon enough. I managed to find an extra copy of The Winter Prince to loan and will be foisting it on you very soon. Resistance is futile.)

books, interesting links
