Talk about a productive evening. For some unknown reason, I was wiped out when I got home, went to sleep for over 2 hours, woke up in time to not be sure if Heroes started at 8 or 9, so I just turned on the tv and kind of stayed there for (omg) three hours. Good thing I don't have homework anymore. Brief summaries, with limited spoiler interruptions.
Chuck: Very cute. Geekboys = win, even if one of them is a girlfriend-stealing... um, gymnast. The geek love still saves the world. Adam Baldwin's character has not, I suspect, unleashed his full coolness.
Heroes: To sum up: SQUEEE! Seriously, it's a good thing the girl next door moved out, because she probably would have heard me shrieking and thought I was having some kind of horrible seizure or something when
David Anders turned out to be Kensei. Unless he really is a screw-up in the long run and Hiro is his own childhood hero. (And won't I have fun explaining that one to time-travel-hurts-my-head coworker.) "I think I broke history." Bless! What will Ando do now that he has no-one to be sidekick to?
Someone at NBC is all about mocking the corporate/retail world. First "Nerd Herd" and "Large Mart", now the horrors of Kinkos and the beautiful revenge for everyone who ever just wanted to finish a drink for crying out loud. *loves Papa Bennett* Claire, OTOH, is incapable of lying low. Even if she keeps faking it, she's going to end up hero of the aliens. It's innate.
Nathan looks much more convincingly like Peter's brother when he's all scruffy. Matt love! So cute with Molly. And Mohinder love just because he is hot, and also conspire-y.
Journeyman: It's like The Time Traveler's Wife, only with no librarians or deep thoughts. And wossname could never be as cool as Henry. (I've already forgotten the character's name because the whole time I was saying, "This is why you don't drive, Henry!") Bit of an extra twist at the end, and I suspect that this is happening to him for A Reason, so we'll see. Probably it's a great idea that has a brilliant but limited lifespan, like Life on Mars. Only with no John Simm cuteness. Or Philip Glenister. Or Matthew Graham's brilliant writing... Yeah.
Obviously, one of these shows is going to have to be time-shifted and I'm thinking it will be Journeyman, unless Chuck gets old and I drop it altogether.
