Circular needles hate me. I'm waiting until I go home to buy double pointed needles because my mom may have some lurking in a closet somewhere, but I can't possibly ask her to root through all the junk in that particular closet just because I'm a cheapskate. I finally made
the hat I wanted to do on straight needles and seamed it (moderately well) up the back, even though I don't like seams and thought circular knitting was going to save me endless woes instead of creating twice as many. And then I found a couple of giant, glaring dropped-stitch holes, which cannot possibly be fixed in all that fur and retain any of the tiny bit of sanity I have left.
In short, I've spent my entire weekend knitting, I have completed nothing that will be of use to anyone and I just want to do something nice for someone, traskit! It shouldn't be this hard.
OTOH, that furry stuff is much less scary to work with than it looks. Assuming, of course, you pay attention and don't drop stitches. (Grrrr.)
