OH NO. I just realized I left milk in my fridge at school. Damnit. I guess I'll just have to remember to dispose of it posthaste and without opening it when I go back in a month. Ugh. How disgusting ( Read more... )

Yeah, Spaces is pretty much the best ever. So helpful in like every way.

Also I don't think I ever told you but I did take a look at STIR after it was printed and everything and it looked really good. :]

Annnnnway hope you are having a good break and that if you saw Golden Compass yesterday that it was enjoyable!

It is! Although the app isn't working as well as it said it would. For example, it does NOT collapse all the open windows into one desktop when you quit the app, which is annoying, you loose the ones not on the desktop you're on when you quit it... but an easy solution is to never quit it! Yay!

:D I'm really glad you liked it.

I did see it! It was glorious. ALTHOUGH! I did NOT end where the book ends, which I found to be kind of weird. It ended in a much less dramatic place, actually, which is a bit strange considering I assume they're going to make the two sequels, right? I dunno. Did you read those books?

I actually didn't read them, which has been a source of shock and reason for lots of yelling for some people. I'm sure they're going to do the two sequels though; trilogies have been all the rage for a few years now, haha. Would it be worth it for me to see the movie if I haven't read the books?

SHOCK AND YELLING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Man, but really, they were SUCH good books. Honestly, I think you should read them now - they're something you could enjoy now, too. I could maybe bring them back to school with me, but it's not like you'd have the time to read them, haha. I'd recommend just reading them in B&N over break - it's a good excuse to get out of the house, right? I don't know whether the movie is worth watching if you haven't read the book... but I felt like it followed pretty closely (minus cutting off before the end of the book and leaving out a few things, obviously), so I'd say probably! I really liked it anyway.

Hahaha I knowwwwwww, that's what everyone says. I'd read them in B&N, but that would require driving about 45 minutes, and it's been snowy and icy and just overall bad driving weather. Bleh. Maybe we somehow have them lying around the house, but I doubt it.

Alsoooooo, I just remembered: Sweeney Todd came out today! Unfortuantely my movie theater is not getting it. :[ I might just hope it's still playing at Blackstone when we get back and then we can go see it maybe.

Aww. Hopefully your brother/mom had good enough taste in books so buy them...?

I want to go see that so bad! My little sister wants me to go with her. I'm so surprised your movie theater isn't getting it! How is that possible??

Haha probably not; my mom doesn't read those kinds of books and my brother doesn't really ... read.

I'm so jealousssss. I don't know how we aren't getting it, I thought it was a big enough movie that we'd have to. Le sigh.

PS that's a pretty great icon, hahaha.
