Well apparently I'm still alive at this moment , 11.41am 10th of September 2008. Thankfully the experiment in Switzerland that just occurred at 11am did not turn into a black hole (i don't think we have enough H+/protons to actually create a black hole anyway) and we are alive! We live to see tomorrow's sunrise...

I'm just writing to show my disgust to this experiment. (Link to news : http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/science/nature/7604293.stm)

All the money spent on this project and the time and man power... What are they trying to achieve by recreating the Big Bang? Another Tower of Babel story, thank God they only run that little amount of protons in the experiment else they could generate enough energy to bomb up the whole earth with this. I cant really see the point of the money spent in this experiment besides trying to create a safe process for nuclear fusion, a way to create energy from merging two atoms (in this case two protons or H+ atoms into Helium) By far the nuclear power comes from nuclear fission, usage of heavy metals such as uranium but uranium is not in huge supply while Hydrogen is plentiful.

Man's attempt to play God again to find never ending resource for energy and probably trying again to prove the big bang theory that has been oh so stupid from the beginning. An almost £5 billion machine along with a 27km tunnel for two ionized hydrogen atoms................ And people like me are wondering why poor countries such as Africa have no money for food and medication......

Let's not even go through the risk involved in this experiment that puts Europe in danger and the radiation that is emitted from this thing (i don't think there is no radiation if it was successful... After all nuclear fission produces Gamma rays, the most dangerous radiation so far known to man...You need HUGE thick Lead walls to protect yourself and from the picture, the tubes ain't looking safe)(For those who didn't know what nuclear fission is and for those scientist who slept in physics class here is the page to get an idea of what it is http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nuclear_fission and the power of nuclear fission you wonder? Remember the two bombs dropped in Japan during WWII ? Well something bigger than that) We could have tried to at least try use the ready made technologies from us poor biologist (well biotechnologist) in recycling and producing energy from our waste that is made into bio fuels! What is the physics division doing now a days... This should have been a last resort instead of being first in the to-do list... (Suddenly remembers an important fact and bangs my head to the wall for being a hypocrite and being part of the big gang of biologist who plays God by trying to clone and genetically engineer stuff. Well Well I'm just dealing with cure for bad breath right now, don't point your guns at me *cries >_< )

However if this experiment is successful it would probably be the first safe nuclear fusion technology and it opens us up to a new age of energy production.... Though i wonder where the waste and radiation would go to... Can mankind's foolish pride destroy themselves any further than this kinda things? Oh yes i wouldn't be surprised...

But....I must compliment the bravery and budget they are willing to sacrifice for this experiment.... I wish them good luck since if it is successful , they would make way more than 3 times the amount they spent on the experiment.... (well since not many countries can afford to spend cash on these kinda God playing games...They probably wont have much rivals)

Maybe I'm just naive and old fashioned in this issue that i don't agree to this experiment. Any comments on this experiment from you guys?

Well then, i should stop here and resume smelling and breeding foul scent emitted from bad breath causing bacteria...

PS: A toast and round of applause to my dad whose birthday is today!
