In which I get frustrated with my knitting.

In the last month, I have:

1. Screwed up the wrap-n-turn section of my Rogue hoodie [ravelry link] twice. The first time, I legitimately did it incorrectly, but on the second shot, I realized that the pattern was written wrong. I've decided to put the entire shebang onto a stitch holder until I complete the back. Then, I'll go back and re-knit it accordingly, matching up the row numbers. I now realize that this may have been a contributing factor in the first version of this sweater fitting so poorly.

2. Followed the directions (instead of the provided picture) on the Snicket Socks [ravelry link] correctly, which resulted in a stupid-long cuff. Had to tear out 50 rows of sock knitting to fix it. I cast on for second sock in frustration only to do the cuff pattern wrong, which resulted in additional frogging. I THEN realized that I'd done the math wrong (after doing 40 rows, naturally) and that the socks would be to small for me. Screw it. I'm giving them to my sister, who has tiny feet.

3. Gotten a wild hair and decided to see if I can get an entire pair of socks out of one skein of koigu if I do contrasting cuff, toes, and heels. Stupidly decide to use a top down pattern, and realize that I will run out of yarn before I finish...after I have already turned the heel and finished the gusset of the first sock. So, I frogged it back to the cuff and have decided to stripe it using the spiral technique that Grumperina blogged about.

4. Accidentally yanked a DPN out of my socks on at least five separate occasions.

Yeah, it's been a long month and I haven't accomplished much of anything. Woe!
