I woke up at 9:50 this morning, which, let me tell you - is late for work. I'm usually there around 9:15. So I woke up because I had two dogs nagging me to go outside and I look at the clock and it's 9:50 and I groan, but I think to myself "I could hump it and get there and explain what happened and in all likely-hood he'd just laugh and wouldn't really care and we'd do a shoot or random shit and it'd be cool, but honestly, I went to bed at 3 and I'm fucking tired, and I'm just gonna go sleep". But then, you know - the dogs had to go outside.
So I was resigned to the fact that I was missing work, even though I really need the money, even though I really don't get paid all that much at this place. I was sitting here on the computer, feeling like a jackass, when I check my e-mail and see this message my boss sent me yesterday.
Lesson: trust your instincts, kid.
Or: get lucky.
