Help Desk Assistant: Full-time, nonexempt staff position in Computer and Information Systems (CIS). Responsibilities include: Under the guidance of the Help Desk Manager provide operational leadership for a team of technical customer support workers for users of CIS; assist in the development and implementation of technical support processes, evaluation of Help Desk tools, creation of web-based Help Desk materials, and management of a departmental incident tracking system. Required qualifications include: Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or three years of experience in technical computer support; strong technical support background; ability to multitask; strong desire to work with people and satisfy the customer; excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong interpersonal and teamwork skills; some supervisory experience. Position will remain open until filled. Salary: $37,000-$39,240 (DOE).

Systems Analyst-Admin Systems: Full-time, exempt staff position in Computer and Information Systems (CIS). Responsibilities include: Act as a professional liaison representing CIS to the SPU user community; coordinate systems activities and availability of central computer resources with multiple user departments and CIS internal teams; confer with users to determine needs, analyze those needs, make system recommendations and provide design and development support for computer systems software; provide high level skill and expertise in the maintenance and administration of central servers, including Windows, Unix, and Linux Servers; provide high level skill and expertise in the maintenance and administration of central server applications, including database servers (SQL Server) and web servers (IIS and Apache); implement and maintain central computer systems software, including design, programming, security administration, testing, documentation and support; other duties as assigned. Required qualifications include: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field; extensive experience with relational database management systems (Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server or similar) and development tools (SQL, PL/SQL or similar); three years of experience in systems development, software programming or computer support; experience with computer networking in a multi-vendor environment; experience with multiple operating environments (including UNIX, Linux, Windows platforms); experience with Internet tools and web -based programming and development tools (ASP, Perl, php); experience with web server applications (IIS, Apache); excellent verbal and written communications skills; strong interpersonal and teamwork skills. Preferred qualifications include: Oracle Database Certification. Position will remain open until filled. Salary: $47,000-$50,000, DOE.
